The Urbana Golf & Country Club was designed to complement its members' busy lifestyles. We provide a "vacation in your own backyard!" For a game of golf or tennis, a sunny afternoon at the pool, a meal in the grille or a gourmet private dining experience, we've created the place where you belong.

When a special atmosphere is required for entertaining clients or hosting an event, UGCC delivers what you expect; a personalized service, excellent food, and an impressive variety of settings for two to two hundred of your guests.

Clubhouse Facilities:
The Urbana Golf & Country Club is designed to create a more pleasant and efficient setting that addresses the changing needs of club members.

Members arrange tee times and book private golf lessons at the Golf Pro Shop. The Pro Shop offers services such as custom club fitting and regularly stocks well known brands of the latest technology and style items for sale such as Callaway, Cobra, Ping, Ben Hogan, Cleveland, and Titleist equipment, and Tommy Hilfiger, Jack Nicklaus, Liz Claiborne, Cutter & Buck, Ashworth, and Izod clothing. We will make special orders on equipment and clothing and we always offer uncompromising service on all products to insure members complete satisfaction.

The Grille, Terrace, Main Dining Room, Private Dining Room or Ray Elliott Room areas are open and inviting settings for a cocktail, business meeting or a meal. Each offers consistently great good and a service staff who cares and greets you by name. The Main Dining Room was designed to offer the right setting for business luncheons and meetings, wedding receptions and gatherings up to 200 attendees. The kitchen area and it's close proximity to the meeting/function space, allows our banquet staff to provide superior service and quality cuisine.

Through our monthly newsletter, Forewords, the staff announces upcoming activities and events for adults and children. Ladies gather for shopping excursions and children look forward to holiday themed events where Santa greets them or Halloween costumes are the recommended attire. Our well attended brunches offer a special place to bring family and guests to celebrate Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, or Easter, just to name a few.

When planning an event or party, the Urbana Golf & Country Club staff will assist members in choosing and planning menus, suggesting room setups and seating arrangements and all the details that will make for a memorable gathering.

Club Amenities:

Golf
Our championship level course is both playable and challenging. This tract of land with its large oak trees and lush fairways is inviting to the novice and to the experienced golfer. Course play is available from March through September, but the course always remains open as long as weather permits. Our golf pro is always available for private lessons, tips and will serve as an onsite resource for any golfing need. UGCC has a completely stocked Pro Shop where members receive discounts on all clothing, golf clubs and accessories. Your friends can also use this benefit when they visit the Club with you.

Tennis
Private and Group lessons are available, and we have the privilege of having Dave Fauble as our Head Tennis Professional, who regularly holds tennis parties, workout sessions, and interclub matches for our tennis enthusiasts! Contact the club office or Dave at 344-8671 for any further information!

Swimming
The Pool Managers are available to schedule private swimming lessons with any of the UGCC Lifeguards, or sign up for one of the many group lessons for your children! Adults can also find Water Aerobics classes convenient to their schedules throughout the summer season!

Dining
UGCC now offers one of the finest dining facilities in Champaign-Urbana. Head Chef, Chris Alwes and his culinary staff have created a menu ranging from Wood-Oven pizza to outstanding full course cuisine. Our member Grille offers casual dining, a comfortable lounge and bar area, and a spacious outdoor patio. The view of our #1 and #18 fairways cannot be missed!

Banquets
The Urbana Golf & Country Club offers a large banquet room that can accomodate up to 150 people; and we also have two private rooms that can hold up to 22 people for your smaller events. Our Banquet & Events Coordinator, Jane Weller can assist you in planning your next event to make it unforgettable.
